Is the venue Climate Controlled? - Yes
Can we cook our own food in the Venue kitchen. No our Prep Kitchen does not have the capacity to cook for wedding.
- If you would like to use our prep kitchen for rehearsal dinner we may grant access depending on the situtation.
Apple Pie / RedEYE- Yes, with a $2,000 Charge and Required Insurance policy
Can Guests bring their own alcohol? Absolutely NOT, the renting party will get fined, $1000.00 + $250 each offense.
Is the venue handicap accessible? Yes, We are a one level concreted venue with ADA compliant restrooms.
Does the venue Provide Tables Chairs and Linens?
- Yes, 45, 72 inch Round Tables 25, 8ft banquet Tables and choice of ivory or black linens.
Does the venue have an ATM on site. - Yes
Does the venue have a bridal suite for Both parties of the Bridal party? Yes Groomsmen suite and 2 Bridal Suites
Is there hotels near the venue? Yes 3 Lodges located in Dawson, 2 Hotels located in Steele
Can i rent the venue all weekend? Yes we have single day and Full weekend packages.
Can i Tour the venue on weekend?
- Friday from 8am-12pm, Saturday? Not if we have an event, and Sundays after 12pm "During Wedding Season".
Can people camp on site? Yes we have 4 power outlets, and 40 Non power parking spots.
Is the venue a brand new build? Technically No. This is a 1974 Turkey barn we renovated into the venue it is today.

In the photos posted listed below, "Taken in 2024" The ceiling was uninsulated, Today the venue is completely insulated & climate controlled. The ceiling is now black with exposed rafters.

Prairie Meadows Venue Safety Measure

When evaluating the safety and efficiency of a venue's emergency egress options, it's crucial to consider all available exit points. This particular venue is well-equipped with multiple avenues for safe evacuation. It features a total of 8 egress travel doors, which are essential for providing clear and direct routes for people to exit the building swiftly in case of an emergency. These egress doors are typically designed to be highly visible and easy to open, ensuring that they can be used effectively even under stressful conditions.

In addition to the egress doors, the venue also includes 9 garage door exits. These larger exits can be especially useful for facilitating the rapid movement of large groups of people or for accommodating the exit of vehicles and equipment if necessary. Garage doors, due to their size, can significantly enhance the overall evacuation capacity of the venue, making it easier to manage and move people to safety in an orderly manner.

Moreover, the venue is equipped with 15 manual sliding windows with removable screens positioned 24 inches from the floor, which serve as extra emergency escape options. These windows can be crucial in scenarios where doors may be blocked or inaccessible. The low height of these windows makes them more accessible, ensuring that individuals, including children and those with mobility issues, can use them to escape.
